Please be aware that the Federal Court will never call or e-mail prospective jurors requesting sensitive or personal information. We recently mailed pink qualification questionnaires and letters requesting that you respond via our secure e-Juror system.

If personal or sensitive information is needed that was not supplied to us, we will wait until the juror appears in person to serve on jury duty to ask for the information.

The protection of our rights and liberties is largely achieved through the teamwork of Judge and Jury who, working together in a common effort, put into practice the principles of our great heritage of freedom.

We in the Courts want you to know how much your cooperation and participation in this process of justice means to the Judges, attorneys and parties in the trials and how vital each individual juror is to the success of the whole judiciary system - "Being Judged by a Jury of our Peers".

Getty Images is one of the largest purveyor of stock photos in the world and aggressively protects their copyrights.

With the Internet being an ocean of visual imagery ripe for the picking, many stolen images are from one of the Getty Stock Photography sites.

It’s so easy to copy photos from the web that we often forget that each one is someone’s copyrighted material.

Add to that the prevalence of social media icons actually asking you to copy posts with just a click.

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you’ve heard that Matthew Inman of The Oatmeal fame got a nasty cease & desist letter from an attorney representing the website Funny Junk.

These individuals threaten prosecution and/or immediate arrest for failing to comply with a jury summons, thus intimidating citizens into providing sensitive or personal information such as social security numbers, financial account numbers and credit card numbers for verification purposes. Mail and a secure e-Juror system to process jury questionnaires and summonses and to receive back the necessary information.

Attorneys are sworn to tell the truth and not make false claims, but we’re not prohibited against having bad or even wrong opinions.
