In the digital age, newspaper headlines for online publications must also be searchable and make readers want to click on them to read more.

Most of us online date—but many of us don’t know how to market ourselves.

I was going to write about something else today -- I have a couple of big-concept posts I've been meaning to write up and get around to -- but, heck, the last post I put up was a big-concept post so I figured let's have a quick breather from that and get something a little lighter up first. I've been all too guilty of this myself -- sending super-long messages.

After a while, all the profiles sound the same, full of similar clichés and adjectives.

“Looking for a partner in crime,” “Are you my other half? in neuroscience yet wouldn’t even get an associate’s degree in “Writing an Online Dating Profile 101.” Many of our clients were successful, personable people (from grad students to physicists) who would make great girlfriends and boyfriends—once they had a dating profile that made them sound unique, one that couldn’t be cut and pasted into someone else’s.

By simply redesigning an advertisement to appear as editorial content (with a headline and newsworthy copy), the odds of your headline getting noticed and thus read will increase some 50%.
